PhotoniCare, a medical device company headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, received finalist honors at the MedCity News and Mid-America Healthcare Investors Network pitch competition on May 1-2, 2018 in Chicago.
PhotoniCare was one of 47 startups recognized as finalists at the 5th Annual Pitch Perfect competition, a program of MedCity News and Mid-America Healthcare Investors. The competition took place at MedCity INVEST – the premier national healthcare investing conference based in the Midwest. The event unites active investors with corporate business development executives to facilitate investment opportunities with the most promising healthcare startups.
The Pitch Perfect competition brought together startups from across the health IT, biopharma, health services, diagnostics and medical device categories. Ryan Shelton, Co-founder and CEO, represented PhotoniCare at the competition.
“MedCity did a really nice job with the competition,” said Shelton. “The INVEST conference was a great place to connect with other stakeholders in our industry and bounce ideas off of other CEOs in our field. PhotoniCare is honored to have been chosen to participate.”
