A New View of Ear Health Has Finally Arrived

Ear infections have traditionally been diagnosed with the use of an otoscope, essentially a penlight and magnifying glass developed over 150 years ago. Traditional otoscopy offers a high-level of variability and subjective observation based on the clinician experience and patient cooperation.

Until OtoSight.

  • 01

Taking the guesswork out of ear health

    • The technology in the OtoSight Middle Ear Scope is 90.6% accurate when assessing MEE*. This is a significant increase over the 50% accuracy with standard otoscopy published in 2001**.

*Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2020 Mar;162(3):367-374
    **Arch Pediatr Adolesc Med. 2001;155(10):1137-1142.

  • 02

    Otoscopy View

    • True color video otoscopy view of the ear canal and eardrum allowing the patient to see what the clinician sees, in real time. This empowers the patient to better understand their ear condition and resulting treatment plan.
  • 03

    Middle Ear Scan

    • The middle ear scan objectively helps to determine the presence or absence of fluid in the middle ear, characterize the type of fluid, visualize the fluid’s density, and can do all of this even in the presence of significant wax.
  • 04

    Familiar

    • The OtoSight Middle Ear Scope handheld has the feel of a traditional otoscope, but its advanced light-based technology provides clinicians with the ability to see beyond the eardrum into the middle ear space.

Efficient management of middle ear health

You’ve never opted for what’s new until you’re convinced it’s what’s best—not only for your patients but also for your practitioners and your bottom line. But when a new technology checks all the right boxes, delivering real-time data and over 90% accuracy when assessing middle ear effusion, that’s a win-win-win.

Exit the outdated otoscope with only a 50/50 chance of the correct diagnosis and enter the OtoSight—the innovative technology that lets clinicians non-invasively see through the eardrum to the source of most infections, the middle ear.

  • Immediate Results

Instant on-screen view of the eardrum and middle ear informs clinical judgement in real time. These results allow the clinician to determine the presence or absence of fluid in the middle ear, characterize the type of fluid, visualize the fluid's density, and can do all of this even in the presence of significant earwax.

  • Quick and Easy

Captured in seconds, similarly to standard otoscopy, the true color video otoscopy view of the ear canal and eardrum allows the patient to see what the clinician sees, in real time. This empowers the patient to better understand their ear condition and resulting treatment plan.

  • Enhancing Clinical Judgement

The objective middle ear scan obtained by the OtoSight Middle Ear Scope provides valuable information to help clinicians remove the subjectivity in the diagnosis of infections and associated ear health ailments.
